I am a freelance photographer and writer based in South Yorkshire, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. With such stunning landscape right on the doorstep, I find that inspiration is never far away.
Many years ago, I was so disillusioned by the choice of work placements on offer to A level students that I took matters into my own hands and contacted a local newspaper to set up my own placement instead. My passion for writing and photography found encouragement there and that first by-line still remains precious, as the little acorn from which inspiration and motivation grew.
Chance decisions over the next few years led to the completion of a degree in food and business and although this was an unlikely choice for a would be photographer and writer, it gave me a love for good food and cooking, which has gone on to influence my work in recent years.
The fields of landscape, travel, food and nature represent my main photographic interests and I find there is nothing more rewarding than capturing the beauty of mother nature to keep memories alive and to share my views of the world with others.
My published writing and images span lifestyle and travel magazines, business literature and web content and I have also appeared as the guest photography expert on BBC Radio Sheffield. For further information on writing services, articles, exhibitions and my general news, please see my blog at www.inspiros.co.uk.
All my gallery quality fine art prints and greetings cards are hand produced and are available to purchase on-line. In 2008, a new greetings card range was introduced called Natural Healing which illustrates plants and flowers that are used to obtain natural remedies.
